BMW R1250GS Parts and Accessories in Canada

R1250GS and R1250GS Adventure Fitment
Some are, but not all. The R1250GS and R1250GS Adventure share many engine, control and chassis-related components, which is why some aftermarket products list both models. However, the Adventure has differences in areas such as the fuel tank, protection equipment, bodywork and touring setup. Always check whether the product specifically lists the R1250GS, R1250GS Adventure or both.
Some do. Many products are designed for compatible generations of the BMW R1200GS and R1250GS, including selected foot controls, luggage accessories, brake components, handlebar parts and protection pieces. However, the R1250GS introduced the larger 1,254 cc ShiftCam engine and other changes, so engine-specific and model-year-specific R1200GS parts should not automatically be treated as R1250GS parts.
Do not assume they will. The R1300GS is a newer motorcycle platform with substantial changes to the frame, suspension, engine and accessory mounting systems. Even BMW's own Vario luggage systems for the R1250GS and R1300GS are not interchangeable. Only use an R1250GS accessory on an R1300GS when the product specifically lists both motorcycles and the correct model years.
