2027 RM-Z450: New Suspension, Wheels and Intake Refinements
The 2027 RM-Z450 keeps Suzuki’s proven 449cc fuel-injected four-stroke platform, but the biggest changes are underneath the rider. Suzuki has fitted new KYB front and rear suspension components and new RK Excel rims to improve chassis compliance, traction and rider feedback.

The 2027 RM-Z250 receives a broader group of chassis refinements. Its 249cc dual-injector engine remains familiar, but Suzuki has updated the suspension settings, wheel hardware and rider triangle to sharpen the bike’s feel on track.

Why the 2027 RM-Z450 Update Matters
Suzuki’s timing is notable. The updated 2027 RM-Z450 arrives after Ken Roczen and Suzuki captured the 2026 AMA Supercross 450SX championship, putting fresh attention back on a platform that had often been described as conservative compared with newer rivals.
For 2027, Suzuki has not replaced the entire motorcycle. Instead, it has concentrated on areas riders can feel directly: suspension response, wheel compliance, intake efficiency and track-side tuning.
RM-Z450 vs RM-Z250: Which Update Is More Significant?
