2027 KTM 690 RALLY: The LC4 Goes Back to Rally Raid
The biggest surprise is the new KTM 690 RALLY. KTM describes it as a return to its Rally Raid roots and a spiritual successor to the KTM 640 ADVENTURE.
The important part for current KTM owners is its foundation: the new model is built on the proven KTM 690 Enduro R platform, but KTM has changed the package around long-distance off-road use rather than simply adding rally styling.
What changes on the 690 RALLY?
The 2027 bike receives a purpose-built rally tower with an integrated windshield and compact 4.2-inch TFT display. Fuel capacity rises to approximately 20 litres through dual front-mounted tanks, giving the motorcycle a much stronger long-range focus than a standard dual-sport setup.
KTM also specifies adjustable WP XPLOR suspension and electronic rider aids intended to balance technical off-road capability with faster liaison and adventure sections.
For Canadian riders, KTM says production begins in Austria in September, with authorized dealer availability expected from October 2026.
How close is it to the 690 Enduro R?
Mechanically and conceptually, the relationship is important—but it does not mean every current 690 Enduro R accessory will automatically fit the new 690 RALLY.
