Harley Super Glide Parts FAQ
Models and Fitment
This collection focuses primarily on legacy Harley Super Glide parts and accessories for Dyna-based models, including Super Glide FXD and Super Glide Custom FXDC applications. Harley lists the Dyna Super Glide FXD for 1995–2010 and Super Glide Custom FXDC for 2005–2014, so always match the exact model code and year before ordering.
Some are. The FXD Super Glide and FXDC Super Glide Custom share many Dyna-platform components, but controls, wheels, trim and other model-specific parts can vary by year and version. A part should only be treated as interchangeable when the exact FXD or FXDC application is included in its fitment.
No, not by default. The 2026 Super Glide revives the name on a modern Softail-based platform with a Milwaukee-Eight 117 Classic engine, while the older Super Glide models in this collection are Dyna-based motorcycles. Frame, suspension, engine and many control components are fundamentally different, so legacy Dyna parts should not be used on a 2026 Super Glide unless that model is specifically listed.
Many selected Super Glide components are also shared with other Harley Dyna models, especially the Street Bob, Low Rider, Wide Glide and Fat Bob. Shared fitment is common with controls, Twin Cam engine hardware, foot controls and selected chassis parts, but exact years still need to match.
Rider Position and Handling
Start with rider position and chassis condition. Handlebar risers, footpegs and foot controls, shifter position and front-end rigidity can noticeably affect comfort and control. Choose these upgrades around your riding position rather than prioritizing cosmetic changes first.
Selected Dyna applications can use rear lift kits to increase rear ride height, while fork-tube extensions and different handlebar or foot-control setups change other aspects of the riding stance. These modifications do not produce the same effect, so decide whether your goal is chassis height, steering feel or rider ergonomics before choosing parts.
Engine and Drivetrain
Confirm the exact year and engine generation first. Current products include Twin Cam transmission covers, clutch covers, cam covers and other engine hardware for selected Dyna applications. Earlier Super Glide generations may use different engine components, so “Super Glide” in the product name alone is not enough to confirm compatibility.
