Husqvarna FX 350 / FX 450 Parts FAQ
Models and Fitment
FX models are cross-country four-stroke bikes, while FC models are motocross four-strokes and TX models are two-stroke cross-country bikes. Because the intended use and engine design differ, engine, exhaust, suspension and some chassis parts are not interchangeable simply because the displacement is similar. Check the exact FX model and year before ordering.
Some do. Many current parts in this collection are shared across Husqvarna FX, KTM XCF and related GasGas models, particularly controls, brake protection, footpegs, radiator protection and other chassis hardware. However, shared platform does not guarantee identical fitment, so the exact model and year should always be included in the product fitment.
Not automatically. Husqvarna introduced a new generation of TX / FX / TC / FC machines for 2023 with substantial changes to the frame, subframe, swingarm, bodywork, suspension and four-stroke engines. Parts designed for the earlier generation should only be used on 2023+ FX models when the newer application is specifically listed.
Setup and Rider Control
Start with parts that improve rider control and protection in rough terrain. Wider footpegs, adjustable brake controls, steering-related hardware and suspension setup are usually more meaningful upgrades than cosmetic parts. The best choice depends on terrain, riding position and how aggressively the bike is used.
Yes. A lowering link lowers rear ride height and changes chassis geometry, while lower or offset footpegs create more legroom without lowering the motorcycle itself. Choose between them based on whether you need easier ground reach or more standing-room comfort.
Protection and Maintenance
For cross-country use, prioritize areas exposed to rocks and impacts. Brake disc guards, radiator guards, swingarm protection and chain guards or case savers can help protect vulnerable components without adding unnecessary accessories.
Check the brake or clutch master cylinder and caliper on your motorcycle before ordering. Current products in this collection include both Brembo- and Braktec-specific lever systems, so the brake-system brand can be more important than the FX model name alone. A lever designed for one hydraulic system should not be assumed to fit the other.
